Hana Chang Singapore / Japan / United States, 17, Senior
Since beginning the violin at four years old, Hana has performed in venues in America, Europe and Asia. She has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including recent performances with the Prague Radio Symphony, Utah Symphony, and Hunan Symphony. In 2016, she won 1st Prize in the Stradivarius International Violin Competition and 2nd prize at the International Louis Spohr Competition. She is also a prizewinner of the Prague Spring and Beethoven Hradec International Competitions. Hana currently studies with Ida Kavafian at the Curtis Institute of Music, and plays on an Amati violin, kindly on loan from the Rin Collection in Singapore.
